⛰️ Trans Mountain: Past, Present, and Future

The Trans Mountain Pipeline System has evolved dramatically since it entered service in 1953. Through changes in markets, ownership, and assets, Trans Mountain has endured as one of Canada’s most important liquids pipeline systems. Greg Hill will tell the story of Trans Mountain and share some insights from his 35-year career helping to transform it.

Vice President, Major Projects

As Vice President, Major Projects, Greg Hill is responsible for the development and execution of large projects and ensuring that all projects are managed from concept to completion utilizing consistent and scalable governance, processes, and systems.

Greg has more than 35 years of experience with Trans Mountain, developing and operating energy infrastructure in western Canada.

Greg holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia and is a registered professional engineer.

Trans Mountain Pipeline

Trans Mountain operates Canada’s only pipeline system transporting oil products from Alberta to the West Coast. Trans Mountain has the capacity to deliver approximately 890,000 barrels of oil and refined products each day through a 1185 km twin mainline pipeline system to Burnaby, British Columbia and a 111 km branch line to Washington state.

Trans Mountain operates a state-of-the-art marine loading facility, Westridge Terminal, with three berths providing access to global markets.

As a federal Crown corporation, Trans Mountain continues to build on decades of experience delivering operational and safety excellence.
