There’s so much to love about being a CWiE member. From professional development and mentorship to exclusive events and volunteer opportunities, membership offers something for everyone in the energy industry.
At Canadian Women in Energy, we believe that when women connect, support one another, and grow together, our entire industry benefits. Our programming runs consistently throughout the year, creating meaningful opportunities for members to learn, build relationships, and stay connected. With a variety of events and initiatives, there’s truly something for everyone at every stage of their career.
Stay engaged with the evolving energy landscape through our technical sessions featuring respected industry leaders and subject matter experts. These sessions provide ongoing learning opportunities on timely energy topics, empowering members to expand their knowledge and strengthen their voice within the industry.
Our exclusive member events are designed to inspire personal and professional growth. From leadership and professional development workshops to intimate networking gatherings, these events create space for meaningful conversations and authentic connections with other women in energy.
CWiE believes in the power of giving back. Members have opportunities to participate in volunteer and philanthropic initiatives that support the communities where we live and work—because making a difference together is just as important as growing together.
Our FuelHER Future Mentorship Program connects members through impactful mentor–mentee relationships that foster growth, confidence, and leadership. Whether you join as a mentor or a mentee, this program is designed to support women as they navigate and advance their careers in energy.
CWiE members have expanded access to industry events by volunteering at our booths or receiving discounted ticket opportunities. These experiences allow members to engage with the broader energy community, strengthen their professional networks, and proudly represent CWiE across the industry.
Women who are professionally employed in Canada’s energy industry—including oil and gas, renewable energy, and related service sectors—or those currently transitioning roles with plans to return to the sector are eligible to become CWiE members.
There are no formal participation requirements once someone becomes a member; however, we recommend attending at least one event per quarter to stay engaged and connected within the CWiE community.
Membership fees are $105 per year and are auto-renewed annually.

CWiE offers honorary memberships to existing members while they are on maternity leave, allowing you to remain connected to the community during this important stage of life. Simply reach out to our Directors of Membership, and they will be happy to take care of the details for you!
CWiE currently offers one membership category, reserved for professional women working in Canada’s energy industry. While membership is limited to industry professionals, students and allies are encouraged to stay connected by participating in CWiE events that are open to the broader community – such as Students in Energy Night and Allies in Energy. These events provide excellent opportunities to learn, network, and engage with the CWiE community.
Absolutely! Prospective members are encouraged to attend one or two CWiE events before completing their membership. Please note that certain events are exclusive to members, which will be clearly indicated on the events page.
Membership fees are non-refundable.
Memberships are non‑transferable, unless an exception is approved by the Directors of Membership.
